The Show Director submits a proposal for a show theme. The proposal is required to include documentation detailing proposed songs, costumes, props, scenery, etc. The show  director is responsible for the choreography, script, locker room/quick change management in addition to other responsibilities determined necessary by the FSBFSC Board of Directors.

Coach/Instructor Application

If you are interested in coaching or being a substitute coach for Findlay Silver Blades in our 2025-2026 season, please click the Coach Application Form button below to complete the online application. 


All instructor/coach applications are subject to approval by the Findlay Silver Blades Board of Directors and the Head Pro. Pending approval of their application, coaches are not permitted to use Findlay Silver Blades ice for group, class or private instruction. 


Our regular season will be held October through January.  In February, our show directors will begin practice for the upcoming Ice Classics Show. Spring Classes are typically held May through the beginning of June, but class times do vary.

Coach Application Form

Volunteer Coach Assistant Program

For the 2025-2026 Season, our Volunteer Coach Assistants will assist with the Findlay Silver Blades group sessions for Group A. The Volunteer Coach Assistant Program is designed to:

  • provide our lead instructors with well-qualified assistants,
  • provide our students with additional help in learning new skills.
  • provide valuable training to those interested in learning to coach.


The Volunteer Coach Assistant Program is a skill progression program. Assistants must complete all the requirements of one level before they can be eligible for the next higher level. All assistants must be a minimum of 12 years of age and have passed Freeskate 4. Only full year members of Findlay Silver Blades FSC are eligible. 


The attendance policy for the Volunteer Coach Assistant Program is:

  • The season does not count towards experience requirements after 5 absences.
  • Assisting privileges will be suspended after 6 absences.

Bronze Level Requirements:

  • For working with Snowplow Sam 1 & 2, Basic 1
  • LTS USA Instructor Membership/Training
  • Associated level quiz provided by the Head Pro
  • Pre-Season Training required


Silver Level Requirements:

  • For working with Snowplow Sam 1-4 and Basic 1- 2
  • LTS USA Instructor Membership/Training
  • Satisfactory completion of Bronze level
  • 1 full season of experience (maximum of 4 absences)
  • Recommendation from Head Pro based on Coach input from previous season
  • Associated level quiz provided by the Head Pro
  • Pre-Season Training required


Gold Level Requirements:

  • For working with Snowplow Sam 1-4 and Basic 1-4
  • LTS USA Instructor Membership/Training
  • Satisfactory completion of Silver level
  • 2 full seasons of experience (maximum of 4 absences per season)
  • Recommendation from Head Pro based on Coach input from previous season
  • Associated level quiz provided by the Head Pro
  • Pre-Season Training required


Platinum Requirements:

  • For working with all levels thru Basic 6
  • LTS USA Instructor Membership/Training
  • Satisfactory completion of Gold level
  • 3 full seasons of experience (maximum of 4 absences per season)
  • Recommendation from Head Pro based on Coach input from previous season
  • Associated level quiz provided by the Head Pro
  • Pre-Season Training required


Platinum Plus Requirements:

  • For coaching Snowplow Sam class solo
  • Minimum of 15 years of age
  • LTS USA Instructor Membership/Training
  • Satisfactory completion of Platinum Level
  • 4 full seasons of experience (maximum of 4 absences per season)
  • Associated level quiz provided by the Head Pro
  • Recommendation from Head Pro based on Coach input from previous season
  • Pre-Season Training required
  • Hands on Training with a Coach (must lead 3 classes with Coach assisting & observing for feedback)


Junior Instructor Requirements:

  • For coaching Snowplow Sam class – Basic 4 solo as well as teaching private lessons thru Group A
  • Minimum of 16 years of age
  • LTS USA Instructor Membership/Training
  • Satisfactory completion of Platinum Plus Level
  • 5 full seasons of experience (maximum of 4 absences per season)
  • Associated level quiz provided by the Head Pro
  • Recommendation from Head Pro based on Coach input from previous seasons
  • Pre-Season Training required
